If you’re planning a trip to Siargao, visiting Sugba Lagoon should be at the top of your list. It’s a beautiful spot surrounded by green limestone hills and calm, inviting waters. Spending a day here feels like a perfect escape into nature.

Sugba Lagoon is located on Caob Island, just off the coast of Siargao. It’s about 45 minutes away from General Luna, the main tourist area on the island. Even though it’s a little journey, it’s 100% worth it.
The easiest way is to book a tour through your hotel or a travel agency in General Luna. Most tours include van transfer to Del Carmen port and a boat ride to the lagoon. If you want to go on your own, you can rent a motorbike, drive to Del Carmen (around 45 minutes), and then rent a boat at the port.
When you arrive, you’ll find a simple wooden house floating on the water where you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, and even bamboo rafts. There’s also a famous diving board where you can jump straight into the water. It’s a lot of fun!
The lagoon is bigger than it looks, and the water changes shades depending on the time of the day and the sun. It’s a great place for swimming, paddling around, or just relaxing and taking in the view.

Some tours also offer side trips to Kawhagan Island and Pamomoan Island for a full day of island hopping. These are great spots for a quick swim and a local seafood lunch.
Spending a day at Sugba Lagoon is an unforgettable experience. It’s a great way to see a different side of Siargao, away from the surf breaks and beach bars. Whether you want to jump off the diving board, paddle across the lagoon, or just float and relax, you’ll have an amazing time.
Make sure to add it to your Siargao itinerary, you won’t regret it!
